VirtuaWin , an excellent virtual Windows desktop manager.
VirtuaWin is a virtual desktop manager for the Windows operating system (Win9x/ME/NT/Win2K/XP). TestDisk is a powerful free data recovery software! It was primarily designed to help recover lost partitions and/or make non-booting disks bootable again when these symptoms are caused by faulty software, certain types of viruses or human error (such as accidentally deleting your Partition Table). Partition table recovery using TestDisk is really easy.
TestDisk can
- Fix partition table, recover deleted partition
- Recover FAT32 boot sector from its backup
- Rebuild FAT12/FAT16/FAT32 boot sector
- Fix FAT tables
- Rebuild NTFS boot sector
- Recover NTFS boot sector from its backup
- Fix MFT using MFT mirror
- Locate ext2/ext3 Backup SuperBlock
TestDisk has features for both novices and experts. For those who know little or nothing about data recovery techniques, TestDisk can be used to collect detailed information about a non-booting drive which can then be sent to a tech for further analysis. Those more familiar with such procedures should find TestDisk a handy tool in performing onsite recovery.

The article looks at how to reset a Wyse terminal to factory defaults. There have been many different types of hardware platforms that Wyse have produced over the years ranging from generic x86 platforms to Wyse proprietary designs. This range of designs has also seen a number of different tools to manage them, any administrator new to Wyse devices should be aware of these tools and how to use them.

What are the problems Apple is trying to solve with their web browser on a Windows platform?
After installing the browser on a modest Windows XP SP2 workstation, I think I like this browser. The fastest browser? Faster than Firefox 2.0.0.4? Seat of the pants “feel” between the two browsers, Firefox seems faster.
Nothing here in Safari that makes me want to import my bookmarks from Firefox or Internet Explorer and use Safari full-time.
One bug I’ve noticed; when Safari is in full-screen mode, it will not allow me access to my hidden task bar at the bottom of the screen. Scroll the mouse down to the edge of the screen and I can’t access the task bar.

Open a command window and type:
change user /INSTALL <Enter>
If the message that returns is “INSTALL mode does not apply to a Terminal server configured for remote administration”, the application version of terminal services is not installed on the server.

- Ports 3268 (TCP/UDP) and 3269 (TCP/UDP) – Citrix PS 4 farm servers communicating with Active Directory domain controllers – AD Global Catalog.
- Port 135 (TCP/UDP) – Citrix PS 4 farm servers communicating with the Microsoft Windows 2003 Terminal Server licensing server.
- Port 27000 (TCP) + Random Port number – Citrix PS 4 servers communicating with Citrix License server. There are two licensing services on the Citrix license server; Port 27000 is listened to by the License Manager Daemon (service) while the Citrix Vendor Daemon (service) chooses to listen on a random available port during the license server’s startup.
- Port 1433 (TCP/UDP) – Citrix PS 4 farm servers communicating with ODBC Datastore server for published application and server configuration.
- Port 2512 (TCP/UDP) – Citrix PS 4 farm servers communicating with one another and for relaying load information to the designated Zone Data Collector. This port is also used by Zone Data Collectors in different zones, in the same farm, to keep each other updated on changes to the farm. This is the port number the Independent Management Architecture (IMA) windows service is associated with.
- Port 2513 (TCP/UDP) – Citrix Management console to server communication.
- Ports 1494 (TCP/UDP) and 2598 (TCP/UDP) – Citrix client to server farm on port 1494 ICA listener. When session reliability is enabled on the server farm, 1494 traffic is wrapped inside port 2598.
- Port 80 (TCP) – TCP+HTTP (XML) browsing by Citrix client for servers or published applications.
- Port 443 (TCP) – SSL+HTTPS browsing and secure connections by client for servers or published applications.
- Port 8082 (TCP) – Citrix License server management console between remote admin and Citrix license server.

I’m building new Citrix PS 4.5 servers that will serve a Windows 2003 desktop. I want to prevent the “auto-install” of Internet Explorer 7.x during Windows Updates on the new servers.
Registry hack or GPO options can prevent this. I’m opting for the registry hack at this time.
