About Me

Hello, my name is Scott V. Welcome to my personal “link” blog. The information and content you see in the pages of this weblog is somehow interesting or useful to me in my day-to-day job. In daylight hours I work as a Microsoft Windows IT infrastructure developer for a little company headquartered in Memphis, TN. The Microsoft Windows operating systems, Windows Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server features are particularly interesting to me.

Anyone remember the Mac 128, Mac 512 or Mac Plus computers? How about a tool called a “mac cracker”? I’ve owned a succession of Mac computers ever since obtaining my first new Mac Plus back in 1987. I was a Navy instructor teaching transistor theory in Millington, TN at the time and a couple of my peer instructors were writing new classroom lesson guides with Mac 512 computers and a software program called MacWrite. That was my first introduction to the Mac platform and over the past 20 years I’ve played, worked with or supported Macintosh computers in one way or the other. A 9″ inch diagonal black and white screen in a Mac Plus cost as much back then as the new 24 inch iMac I just purchased cost this month.
